About the Company

An established customs agency with a strong focus on eastern markets is entering an important growth phase driven by significant regulatory changes in the customs agency sector. As part of this expansion, the company is building new revenue streams in logistics and warehousing, targeting western clients from its 10-hectare facility in eastern Poland. The company values entrepreneurial thinking, ownership mentality, and close-knit team culture over corporate hierarchy.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Director/Manager to build a western client base from the ground up. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role with significant autonomy - you will have genuine decision-making and negotiation power, and direct participation in the revenue you generate. This role is for a builder, not a manager of existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for warehousing, consolidation, and storage services targeting western clients

  • Identify and acquire new clients, with particular focus on freight forwarders and individuals with established logistics networks

  • Build and manage a pipeline of tenders for warehousing, consolidation, and storage services

  • Establish cooperation with transport companies to complement existing warehousing and customs offering

  • Define the target geographic direction and client segments in coordination with leadership

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the new business segment

  • Represent the company in negotiations with clients and partners

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the TSL (transport-spedition-logistics) sector

  • Background in freight forwarding or logistics market

  • Operational knowledge of warehousing and customs processes

  • Proven track record of client acquisition, preferably western clients

  • Fluent English at B2/C1 level - essential for international client negotiations

  • Strong self-organisation and ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setup

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an ownership approach to business development
