About the position
The Regional Accountant serves as a key finance leader ensuring the integrity of financial reporting across the Packing and End of Line entities. The role covers the full spectrum of statutory accounting under French GAAP, IFRS consolidation reporting, and local tax compliance (VAT, CIT, and related obligations). Beyond technical accounting, it carries a genuine leadership dimension: the incumbent supervises and develops an accounting team while remaining hands-on and operational in day-to-day activities. Working closely with Group Accounting, Tax, and Treasury functions as well as local site stakeholders, the Regional Accountant drives month-end and year-end close cycles and manages Group reporting submissions via Onestream. The position is also responsible for audit readiness and adherence to internal control standards in line with Group Finance policies. It actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting process optimisation and system enhancements. This is a role for a rigorous, proactive finance professional who thrives under deadline pressure and communicates effectively across functions and geographies in a complex international matrix environment.
Key responsibilities
Manage accounting activities under French GAAP and IFRS
Lead month-end and year-end closings and submit Group reporting packages in Onestream
Oversee French tax compliance (VAT, CIT, etc.)
Ensure adherence to company’s internal control standards and support audits
Coordinate with Group Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and local site functions
Support process improvements and system enhancements
Supervise and guide the accounting team in the same time as being operational
Required Experience & Skills
Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
8+ years’ experience in accounting and tax, ideally in manufacturing
Strong knowledge of IFRS, French GAAP, and French tax rules
SAP experience preferred; strong analytical and communication skills
Rigorous, reliable, proactive, and comfortable in an international matrix environment
Knowledge of SAGE is a plus
Solid Excel skills, Knowledge of Power BI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
English proficiency required (written and spoken)
