Junior Market Abuse Surveillance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of client trading behaviour to identify potential market manipulation, insider dealing, or other prohibited practices.

• Prepare clear and accurate surveillance reports summarising investigations, findings, and potential regulatory breaches for internal and external use.

• Monitor global market news and trends relevant to market abuse risks and regulatory developments.

• Support senior members of the Risk Control Department with daily operational tasks and project-based work.

• Assist in configuring, maintaining, and testing the Market Abuse Surveillance system to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Law, or a related quantitative field.

• Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to interpret complex data.

• Curiosity, proactivity, and a willingness to learn in a regulated environment.

• Basic understanding of capital markets, trading mechanisms, and financial instruments.

• Solid English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

• Completed stockbroker course and/or valid stockbroker licence.

• Personal or professional investing/trading experience.

• Basic familiarity with SQL for data queries.
