Summary & Overview
Who is the Shaper role - a modern approach to the Product Owner position?
The Product Owner interprets and prioritizes the end-user requests, wishes, and desires. On top of your challenge lies effectively and efficiently leading product development. Moreover, at edrone the Product Owner role is very special. While working closely with the Business Analyst and Core Product Engineering Lead your role would be to properly interpret BA’s reports and turn the idea into a Shape-Up framework. A feature development methodology, released by Basecamp in 2019. Next, you’ll use your UX talent to help the platform envolve as most productive and beloved by clients. You’ll achieve all of these thanks to your collaborative propensity and natural-born Project Management’s reliability skill. Your role would definitely vary from what you can imagine as a UI and graphic design one. If you are a product development lover but feel rather like a Business role instead of a tech wizard that role would suit you.
The most frequent of your daily basis activities
- Turning idea's stream into a plan
- Improve and create disruptive features within the Core Product
- Collaborate with stakeholders in order to prepare the roadmap
- Approval of the roadmap basing on Business Analyst’s key metrics analysis
- Align with Business Analyst conclusions
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with C-level managers, BA, and Engineering team
- Implement and manage System Development methods
- Manage the ShapeUp approach instead of SCRUM
- Preparation of Product Pitches (ShapeUp)
- Monitoring overall progress and use of resources
- Work with UI designers to help them to implement attractive designs
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
- Understand product specifications and user needs
- Planning and Defining Scope
- Controlling Quality
- Help product testers to run tests that matter the business teams
Skills and requirements
- Experience in one or more Agile frameworks
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience in a similar role to Product Owner or UX manager
- Experience with Atlassian software - especially Jira

- High oral and written communication skills in English
- Collaborative & facilitation skills
Skills - nice to have
- Good understanding of eCommerce needs or experience in the eCommerce industry
- UX designer as one of a position on your career path
- Experience in product development (any, business, or technical team) of a UXP (User Experience Platform) or SaaS.
