Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Internal Auditor. This role will support the delivery of the audits performed by the Global Internal Audit team across all business lines and functions.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to audits performed by the Global Internal Audit team across most stages in the audit lifecycle: team preparation, logistics, planning, fieldwork, testing, documentation, audit issue and report writing (in English), post-report issue validation, and ongoing stakeholder engagement;
• Contribute to a programme of continuous monitoring for some businesses or countries through regular meetings with stakeholders, participation in business governance forums, ongoing analysis of business risk profiles, and delivery of continuous monitoring reports;
• Contribute to the wider development of Global Internal Audit, through collaborating with other audit teams, sharing best practice, considering how audit can use data analytics, agile techniques, and other innovations; and
• Maintain and enhance stakeholder relationships through keeping in touch with business, regulatory and industry developments;
• Be a proactive team player, who leads by example and works constructively across Global Internal Audit.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• The role holder should be familiar with general banking risks, processes and controls;
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an audit capacity of any kind;
• Analytical and critical thinker, who can effectively manage competing priorities and complex challenges to deliver positive outcomes;
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively, and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive discussion’;
• A professional with experience in working in a dynamic, complex, and ambiguous environment;
• Dedicated to continually improve their own skills, which could be demonstrated by holding relevant professional qualifications such as in accountancy, finance, or risk management;
• BA/BS or MS, all majors will be considered with preference given to Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or Law.
