Our International Tax Team plays a strategic role in supporting Akamai's global operations through tax compliance, reporting, and advisory. We influence tax matters in nearly 40 countries worldwide, identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and collaborating with top-tier external tax service providers to drive continuous improvement.

In this role, you'll navigate the complexities of international tax jurisdictions, contributing to both local and global compliance efforts. Working alongside a highly skilled team and renownedexternal partners, you'll become a trusted advisor to Akamai's leadership while managing multiple tax areas as if they were your own business!

As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Managing relationships with external tax service providers, including handling data request lists, reviewing their deliverables, and ensuring quality tax compliance.

• Analyzing accounts and performing reconciliations, maintaining accurate income tax reporting.

• Researching and interpreting local tax regulations, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements

• Collaborating with finance teams, provide expert guidance on corporate income tax and other direct tax matters and align tax strategies with financial operations.

• Engaging in other ad-hoc projects (e.g. tax credits, special economic zone reconciliations), legal entity set-up in new jurisdictions (tax registrations)

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate 5 or more years of experience in corporate income tax compliance and/or consulting within a multinational environment.

• Apply extensive understanding of accounting principles to address corporate tax matters effectively.

• Analyse data and provide meaningful, data-driven insights to support decision-making.

• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, producing clear, concise documentation and workpapers

• Manage time and priorities effectively, balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Uphold high ethical standards and pursue continuous learning to stay current with tax regulations, industry developments, and the evolving business environment.
