Are you an experienced procurement professional with a technical background, looking for an international challenge?Join our Client’s team — a global leader in motion and industrial solutions — as we expand our European procurement organization. We are looking for a proactive and skilled individual to take ownership of strategic sourcing initiatives in the area of mechanical components.


Buyer with English 


Here are some of the things you can look forward to:

  • Manage and lead end-to-end purchasing processes including tenders, contract negotiations, and supplier management for commodities such as castings, stamped metal components, and sealing elements.

  • Drive sourcing strategies for mechanical components categories with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams across 7 manufacturing plants in Europe, a distribution center in France, and global counterparts in China, India, and the US.

  • Execute strategic projects involving supplier consolidation, localization, and technical cost-saving initiatives.

  • Develop and implement short-, mid-, and long-term commodity strategies aligned with sustainability, innovation, and cost-optimization goals.

  • Provide regular reports and structured analysis to internal stakeholders regarding supplier performance, market trends, and category outlook.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Professional experience in international purchasing, preferably in technical commodities.

  • Hands-on experience in running tenders and negotiating contract terms via e-platforms.

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

  • Technical background or professional experience in a technical field (e.g., engineering, mechanical production).

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent command of MS Excel.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20%).

Nice to Have:

  • French language skills.

  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, or Power Query.

  • Experience in developing commodity strategies for mechanical or industrial parts.
