Our client, an international professional services organization, is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage Spain’s accounting, reporting, and tax obligations. Financial Accountant

We are now looking for a Finance Systems Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of finance technology projects that will transform how the global Finance organization operates. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about finance systems, project management, and continuous improvement.

Here are some of the things you can look forward to:

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts in IFRS and review statutory financial statements under Spanish GAAP.

• Coordinate with external accountants for statutory accounts and corporate tax filings.

• Reconcile balance sheets, intercompany transactions, and maintain the fixed asset register.

• Support treasury processes, including AR/WIP tracking and monthly cash flow forecasting.

• Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate reporting and monthly analysis.

• Assist with internal and external audits and respond to audit requests.

• Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for local and Europe Finance teams.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

• Lead preparation and updates of local budgets.

What we’re looking for:

• Min. 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, or tax reporting, with solid knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP (or comparable frameworks like French, Belgian, or Luxembourg GAAP).

• Experience in multinational or complex organizations, ideally professional services.

• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office; SAP Business ByDesign experience is a plus.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Spanish or French is an advantage.

• ACCA/CA/CPA qualified with 1–2 years post-qualification experience - nice to have. 

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
