GL Accountant – VAT & Reporting
Here are some of the things you can look forward to:
Be responsible for the VAT accounting and perform on a monthly basis the reconciliations and the clearing of the VAT accounts.
Collaborate and solve issues with different parties (Indirect Tax, Accounts Payable & Receivable) to ensure VAT entries are accurate and correct in GL.
Participate in month-end GL close procedures, including balance sheet reviews, flux analysis, quarterly close entries, FX reporting.
Provide support on the day-to-day accounting of a number of holding entities, assist with month-end close procedures and reconciliations for these entities.
Support the team on GL related issues, statutory compliance and financial statements, and projects.
Support any audit requirement request and working closely with different teams to ensure full compliance to regulations and policies.
You are the right person for the role if you:
Hold at least bachelor’s degree in finance, economy, business or related field or any equivalent combination of education,
At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with a large, multinational company.
Familiar with monthly GL close process and statutory financial statement preparation.
Knowledge of financial systems: basic accounting in Oracle ERP and Microsoft office programs are essential.
Fluent in English (writing, reading and understanding).
Basic understanding of VAT in Europe.
