Global Logistics & Fleet Procurement Manager - remote

As the Global Logistics & Fleet Procurement Manager  you will be responsible for driving procurement excellence across the Logistics (80%) and Car Fleet (20%) categories. This is a highly visible, individual contributor role where you will lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management for global logistics (inbound, outbound, warehousing) and fleet programs.

You will work closely with global and regional stakeholders in Logistics, Customer Service, Fleet & Travel, Legal, HR, Finance, Quality, and IT to support business growth, ensure compliance, optimize costs, and drive innovation across multiple markets (Europe, US, Asia).


Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and category management for inbound, outbound, and warehousing logistics (road, sea, air).

  • Develop and implement global logistics procurement strategies aligned with business and supply chain objectives.

  • Negotiate contracts with logistics service providers and 3PLs, securing best total value across cost, service, quality, and risk.

  • Drive cost transparency, reporting, and procurement analytics for informed decision-making.

  • Support regular freight tenders, supplier performance reviews, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality frameworks (GDP, ISO) in MedTech logistics.

  • Partner with Legal and Quality teams to ensure robust contracts and manage risk effectively.

  • Report on procurement KPIs: cost savings, supplier performance, TCO, sustainability.

  • Partner with Global Corporate Fleet & Travel to manage global and regional supplier relationships.

  • Contribute to fleet optimization programs including electrification, TCO transparency, and sustainability goals.

  • Support selection and negotiation of leasing and fleet service agreements to drive consistency and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate car policies in collaboration with HR and regional teams.

  • Monitor fleet data, track performance, and support audit requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in logistics procurement (transport, warehousing, 3PL).

  • Strong background in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management across multiple transport modes.

  • Knowledge of GDP / ISO standards within medical or MedTech logistics is an advantage.

  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to create added value.

  • Experience in matrixed, global organizations; exposure to Germany or global procurement projects preferred.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent English required, German a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, TMS, and procurement analytics tools - nice to have. 

  • Experience in car fleet procurement (leasing, electrification, compliance) is an advantage.

  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on approach, solution orientation, and resilience.
