Our Client is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Governance, Controls, and Risk Oversight within their Product Control function. This role is central to ensuring trust in financial numbers, providing insight, implementing controls, and supporting sustainable growth in trading activities. You will drive governance and risk oversight across multiple hubs, including London, MENAT, Paris, and additional sites such as the US and HK.

Senior Manager, Product Control Governance & Risk Oversight

As part of the global Product Control team, you will ensure the credibility of valuations, manage controls frameworks, and provide independent assurance and guidance to trading businesses. You will also influence policies, shape methodologies, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to maintain strong regulatory and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead governance, controls, and model oversight for Core Product Control and Valuations/Analytics across multiple regions.

• Develop and implement valuation policies and methodologies (IPV/FVA) ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Provide independent assurance and commercial insight to trading businesses.

• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Lead and manage projects to delivery, ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.

• Oversee and mentor teams, including multi-location management.

• Identify process improvements, enhance control frameworks, and support risk mitigation initiatives.

• Communicate complex valuation and control issues to senior stakeholders in a clear, non-technical manner.

Your Profile:

• Graduate degree with 10 years of overall experience, including over 4 years in Product Control, Risk, or Valuations.

• Demonstrable expertise in product control, accounting, valuations, controls, systems, models, and markets (at least one asset class; multiple is an advantage).

• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and valuation guidelines.

• Experience shaping methodology and policies for IPV / FVA is highly desirable.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience managing large teams across multiple locations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills (Python, Excel preferred).

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.

• Additional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, or FRM are a plus.

• Ambitious, adaptive, and proactive with a strong controls mindset.
