Senior Mechanical System Design Leader
Location: Kraków (hybrid work after probation period)

Responsibilities:
- Led a team of mechanical development engineers and system architects in designing and developing eDrive systems, including eMotors, gearboxes, and their mechanical integration.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and schedules from a mechanical development perspective, ensuring timely and successful project execution.
- Implement Product Development Process (PDP) and Engineering Development Framework (EDF).
- Break down and allocate project requirements to mechanical development engineers and system architects.
- Schedule and oversee simulations and analyses to validate designs, ensuring timely completion.
- Guide the team in developing and documenting mechanical systems and component DFMEAs.
- Ensure adherence to performance, durability, and manufacturability requirements.
- Oversee the development and documentation of ADVP&Rs.
- Manage project timelines to ensure the timely delivery of engineering outputs (e.g., drawings, specifications).
- Serve as the primary technical contact within the mechanical design team, reporting to the System Project Leader.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, testing, eHardware, and other stakeholders.
- Align with the Validation Engineering team to finalize the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R).
- Prepare and present project updates, technical reviews, and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation in mechanical design to enhance eDrive system performance and efficiency.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges during the development process.
- Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
- Document and implement lessons learned from past projects to optimize future developments.
- Ensure all mechanical designs meet industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
- Maintain strict documentation compliance.
- Support Quality and Manufacturing teams in developing robust quality control processes.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years in mechanical design and development within the automotive or related industry.
- Proven experience leading technical projects.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and oversee detailed project plans.
- Ability to assess and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of design workflows and experience in reviewing and guiding design activities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and testing protocols for automotive components.
