Senior Sales Planner
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support and shape several commercial and planning processes while working in close partnership with a broad group of internal stakeholders. Your scope will include:
Creating and consolidating reports for leadership and central functions, including outlooks, projections, and interim results, while tracking daily and periodic variances and supporting statutory and compliance-related reporting (e.g. JSOX). Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of data will be critical.
Reviewing sales performance and margin development for both local and senior sales stakeholders, identifying patterns and risks, proposing optimisation actions, and contributing analytical input to commercial initiatives and campaigns.
Leading the preparation and coordination of the annual planning cycle, working closely with Product Management on pricing assumptions, and supporting the definition of long-term sales and commercial priorities.
Acting as a subject-matter contact for core systems such as ERP, online sales platforms, and CRM tools, providing functional support to the organisation and contributing to process harmonisation and standardisation efforts.
Partnering with Sales Management to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, monitoring execution and results, and adjusting assumptions to maximise outcomes.
Measuring, tracking, and interpreting key commercial indicators (e.g. customer acquisition, activity levels, discounts, margins, quotation effectiveness, conversion rates) that underpin overall business performance.
Collecting and evaluating external market insights and competitive intelligence to support informed commercial and strategic decisions.
Key Requirements:
Education, Experience & Technical Skills
University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable field.
At least 6 years of professional experience in controlling, finance, or advanced analytical roles, ideally including exposure to advisory or audit environments and regular interaction with senior leadership.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with overlapping priorities and strict timelines.
Comfortable responding to ad hoc analyses and last-minute requests while maintaining quality and structure.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with particular strength in Excel and the ability to design and maintain complex analytical models and reporting solutions.
Solid understanding of financial and accounting fundamentals is an advantage.
Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately once per month).
