Senior TAX Expert

For our client we are looking for candidates for the position of:

Senior TAX Expert

Job description:

• Provide support to the global tax team and the EMEA region on behalf of a client in the automotive sector

• Contribute to the preparation of year-end taxable income forecasts for Germany (covering both current and deferred taxes)

• Assist in preparing and reviewing the tax basis balance sheet as well as the opening balance sheet

• Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve questions and discrepancies

• Oversee the correct recognition of business transactions in relation to tax reporting

• Collaborate with other functions (PTP, OTC, RTR) to reduce the risk of accounting errors impacting tax compliance

• Continuously track and assess changes in tax legislation

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of taxation processes and regulations

• University degree, preferably in finance, economics, accounting, or taxation

• Strong command of both German and English (minimum B2 level)

• Advanced skills in MS Excel

• In-depth knowledge of German corporate tax legislation

• Hands-on experience with German KG entities and related tax reporting obligations

• Familiarity with German trade tax (Gewerbesteuer) would be an advantage

• Experience in working with SAP; familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision considered a plus
