Senior Tax Expert

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Expert for our client, a global leader in plastics technology. This company specializes in innovative solutions for the construction, automotive, and industrial sectors, characterized by a modern approach, strong commitment to technological development, and a focus on sustainability. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support for the global tax counsel and the EMEA region for the customer from the automotive industry

• Assist with year-end taxable income forecast for Germany (current and deferred tax)

• Support tax basis balance sheet and opening balance sheet work

• Communication with internal customers to clarify doubts and inaccuracies,

• Control of recognition of economic events in terms of correctness of tax settlements,

• Cooperation with other departments (PTP, OTC, RTR) in order to minimize the risk of erroneous accounting affecting tax settlements

• Ongoing monitoring of changes in tax regulations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in the tax department

• Practical knowledge of taxes (incl. income tax)

• Higher education (preferred faculties: finance, economics, accounting, taxes)

• Fluent in German (spoken and written) and English

• Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel)

• Strong understanding of German corporate tax rules

• Experience with German KG entity structures and tax reporting requirements

• Knowledge of German trade tax (Gewerbesteuer) preferred

• Experience with SAP; OneSource Tax Provision knowledge preferred
