Our Client is seeking a Senior Valuation Controller to join their Global Financial Centre team, supporting the London trading hubs. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Front Office Profit & Loss reporting and providing detailed analysis of its components. You will help identify drivers of P&L, assess them against expectations, and provide insight into market and trading activities. This role combines production of valuation data with review and investigation, playing a key part in maintaining strong financial control.
Senior Valuation Controller
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Valuation Control processes for Front Office P&L in the London trading hubs.
Analyze P&L components to identify drivers and deviations against expectations.
Review and investigate valuation outcomes, including market movements and trading activity.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of valuation and financial results.
Collaborate with Front Office, Product Control, and Risk teams to resolve valuation issues.
Support improvements in valuation processes, controls, and methodologies.
Your Profile:
University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Prior experience in Financial Markets or Treasury operations.
Strong knowledge of financial products, their life cycles, accounting principles, and valuation techniques.
Excellent analytical skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ambitious, self-driven, and enthusiastic.
Valuation or Product Control experience is strongly preferred.
Advanced skills in MS Excel; knowledge of MS Access and VBA is an advantage.
