Transportation & Logistics Specialist with German

The main purpose of this role is to manage transportation planning and execution for both domestic and international logistics. The position involves collaboration with SC Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing, Transportation peers, Master Data teams, and Carriers to ensure high customer service levels and cost management.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage domestic and international transportation, including shipment execution in ERP/WMS systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams and carriers to address delivery schedules, exceptions, and issue resolution.
• Optimize transport operations based on carrier feedback and logistics needs (FTL, LTL, RT).
• Monitor transportation KPIs, prepare performance reports, and support cost-effective logistics planning.
• Process and audit carrier invoices, manage contracts, rates, and ensure service compliance.
• Support capacity planning and communication with warehouses and carriers.

Qualifications:

• University degree
• Proficiency in English and German (both written and spoken)
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in in a similar role
• Advanced Excel skills, including macro creation
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI
• Proven experience in process improvements or efficiency enhancements
• Familiarity with European transport regulations for drivers and vehicles (preferred)
• Knowledge of Lean principles (nice to have)
• Experience working with Transportation Management Systems and SAP (nice to have)
