Logistics & Performance Expert
The function of Logistics & Performance Expert plays a critical role in this challenging environment whereby the activities can be split up in the following topics:
Main Responsibilities:
Develop (include automation) and execute the overall T&L performance monitoring of the clusters to get a detailed understanding of the main transport related volume, cost and service indicators. For this purpose the current tracking has to be extended (in collaboration with EPO) to also include supplier performance oriented indicators.
Support the local key users and EPO buyers with information on volumes, performance and requirements as part of the contracting processes.
Discuss the performance results with both the cluster T&L teams and the EPO organisation to define, implement and follow-up corrective actions.
Use planning and historical information in combination with supplier market knowledge and EPO to analyse and develop the overall transport network within FE. A specific focus (next to cost and service) to make on requirements linked to the environmental transition to more CO2-friendly routes which potentially impose a more intense collaboration between clusters to consolidate volumes in combined transport modes (like trains, barges or vessels) towards proximity hubs near our customers.
Facilitate, support and track the implementation of the new network routes in the different clusters by listing the appropriate operational guidelines and help in the possible change management.
Develop with the clusters, the T&L planner and EPO the right arbitration governance and decision process in case of bottlenecks on transport resources.
