Financial Controller

Job Specification: Financial Controller

Due to the rapid growth of big xyt, we are now actively looking to hire a Financial Controller to be based in our head office in Wroclaw, Poland where they will be working closely with and supporting the Chief Financial Officer in managing the day-to-day financial operations. You will be involved in various tasks associated with financial management, budgeting and forecasting. In addition to these responsibilities, you will help to ensure that big xyt’s financial reports comply with regulations and laws within different jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders;
• Calculate amounts and issue invoices to clients and suppliers in a timely manner;
• Review and approve financial statements annually;
• Review budget execution for the current fiscal year and prepare the budget plan for the following year, in collaboration with senior management.
• Create and maintain transfer pricing documentation together with the tax advisors;
• Complete ad-hoc financial reports as required by government institutions.
• Prepare and review contracts with B2B contractors on an annual basis;
• Oversee software orders and ensure accurate invoicing for intercompany transactions.

Key Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are preferred

Experience:

• Previous experience in financial management, reporting, or accounting is essential
• Familiarity with compliance and tax documentation processes would be ideal

Skills and attributes:

• Strong language and communication skills in German and English
• Strong proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. DATEV, Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive company financial data with confidentiality
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Proven ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work autonomously, as the line manager will be based in a different location
