About Us

We’re Blazity — a team of React.js and Next.js experts building modern digital products and long-term technology partnerships. We work closely with our clients as trusted technology advisors, delivering scalable web platforms, e-commerce ecosystems and custom software products.

Alongside client work, we actively invest in our own products and open-source ecosystem.

One of our key initiatives is MDCMS — an open-source, AI-native content engine and Markdown-first CMS designed for modern developer workflows.

MDCMS is built around code-first schemas, developer tooling, AI workflows and open infrastructure principles. We see it not only as a product, but as an ecosystem — one we want to grow together with contributors, developers, creators and the wider OSS community.

As MDCMS grows, we are expanding our focus beyond product development toward building a strong developer ecosystem and community around it.

We believe great open-source products are built not only through code, but through contributors, education, events and authentic developer engagement.

About the Role

We are looking for a Developer Relations & Community Lead (Open Source) passionate about open source, developer ecosystems and community building.

Your mission will be to help build and grow the global developer community around MDCMS and support the growth of its open-source ecosystem.

This role combines Developer Relations (DevRel), community building, ecosystem development and developer engagement initiatives. You will work closely with founders, engineers and product teams to help transform MDCMS into a visible and active open-source ecosystem.

A key part of this role will also be building developer engagement through events and community initiatives — helping create experiences that bring contributors and developers together.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Developer Relations (DevRel)
  • Open-source community building
  • Community growth and engagement
  • Developer ecosystem development
  • Events and ecosystem activation
  • Developer marketing and GTM initiatives

We are looking for someone who understands how OSS communities grow and has experience building engagement around technical products, open-source projects or developer ecosystems.

Our Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the developer ecosystem and technical audiences
  • Experience building, growing or engaging developer communities
  • Experience working with or building open-source communities (OSS) and understanding how communities evolve around developer products and tools
  • Understanding contributor ecosystems, advocacy, community activation and developer engagement models
  • Experience with developer-focused platforms and communities such as GitHub, Discord, X, LinkedIn, Reddit or similar ecosystems
  • Experience in DevRel, developer marketing, SaaS, developer tooling, open-source products or technology companies
  • Experience organizing or supporting developer-focused initiatives such as:
    • meetups
    • hackathons
    • workshops
    • conferences
    • community events
  • Ability to identify trends and transform technical topics into engaging content and community initiatives
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for research, productivity and growth workflows
  • Strong ownership mindset and willingness to experiment
  • High energy, curiosity and active engagement within the developer ecosystem
  • Fluent English

We care more about impact, ownership and community-building experience than years spent in a role.

Scope of Responsibilities

Developer Community & Ecosystem

  • Build and grow the developer community around MDCMS
  • Create and execute community growth initiatives for the open-source ecosystem
  • Develop contributor, ambassador and community programs
  • Build relationships with developers, creators, contributors and ecosystem partners
  • Drive engagement across GitHub, Discord, X, LinkedIn and developer communities
  • Help establish MDCMS visibility within the global open-source ecosystem

Developer Relations & Content

  • Collaborate with engineers to transform technical work into educational content, community initiatives and developer-facing communication
  • Support developer education and community onboarding initiatives
  • Experiment with developer GTM initiatives and community growth programs
  • Monitor AI, developer tooling and OSS ecosystem trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Help position MDCMS and Blazity as visible voices within the developer ecosystem

Events & Community Activation

  • Organize and support developer-focused initiatives including:
    • hackathons
    • meetups
    • workshops
    • online events
    • conference initiatives
    • community sessions
    • ecosystem activations
  • Build and scale community engagement initiatives around MDCMS
  • Help create experiences that strengthen the contributor ecosystem and developer adoption
