ESG Risk Manager would be responsible for leading the Bank’s efforts to develop and implement ESG risk framework within the Bank’s risk management structure, working cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, and Business Teams to embed ESG risk management into our decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Development of the Bank’s ESG Risk management framework and ESG risk strategy
- Chairing the Sustainable Development Products Commission, responsible for preparation and development of the Bank’s sustainable finance framework and classification of products and transactions
- Leading and participation in the key ESG risk related projects
- Development and application of ESG risk to the existing Risk Programs, such as:
- a) ESG risk identification and assessment process
- b) climate scenario analysis and stress testing methodology
- c) calibration and monitoring of ESG risk appetite
- d) reporting on the overall ESG risk profile
- Engaging with regulators and support meeting local regulatory requirements
- Working with senior management and leaders to ensure effective integration of ESG risks management requirements
What we expect:
- Higher education in finance, economics, risk management, environmental economics and/or completion of specialized courses
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Deep understanding of European regulations and standards regarding ESG risk management (incl. EBA Guidelines on ESG risks management, ECB Guide on Climate-related and Environmental risks, CRR III / CRD VI, PCAF), as well as the expectations of the Polish regulator
- Professional certifications (e.g. GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk, CFA ESG, SASB FSA) are a plus
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation)
- Professional ability and presence to interact with Senior Bank Management
- Good work organization and the ability to work on many projects at the same time
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various teams and levels of the organization
- Proficient level of English and Polish
