Team/Role Overview:
The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner is a senior level position responsible for leading the delivery of day-to-day HR support in coordination with the Human Resources team. The overall objective of this role is to provide a broad range of HR services to Western client groups within Citi.
The Incumbent will serve as a senior Advisor to Wealth business within Citi Private Bank and will focus on the following regions: UK and Europe, mainly Spain, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and to a lesser extent France.
What you’ll do
- Partner with senior leaders to implement business strategy and build organizational and leadership capability
- Coordinate and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of global HR priorities and life cycle processes
- Act as a key advisor to senior managers with global populations on all HR related issues. Tailor and execute fully all aspects of the People Agenda.
- Deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance through individuals and managers as well as identify issues and recommend solutions
- Coach seniors leaders on how to improve their individual leadership skills, focus on talent, differentiate performance and embrace diversity
- Partner with leaders to interpret employee engagement metrics to inform the development and implementation of appropriate employee engagement strategy, initiatives and communications.
- Partner with business managers to resolve Employee Relations (ER) issues, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and risks are assessed
- Partner with Human Resource Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) on HR priorities in respective client populations to ensure delivery and implementation of HR solutions
- Coordinate and consult with country HR partners to deliver business activities
- Coach and support the development of new or less experienced team members
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made.
What we’ll need from you
- Working knowledge of HR functions
- At least 6-7 years of experience in a HR Generalist/HR Business Partner role, as well as the ability to partner with senior levels in the organisation.
- Experience of initiating and managing change programs including job eliminations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate credibly with all levels in the organisation
- Demonstrable problem solving skills and solutions focused
- High tolerance for dealing with ambiguity and on-going change
- Resilient under pressure and self-motivated in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Fluent English
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
