„Practice in Lodz – summer internships is a project organized as part of the “Youth in Lodz” program, whose aim is to enable students and graduates of Lodz universities to gain professional experience. The project can be attended by people up to 30 y.o. who are students or graduates (up to one year after graduation) of Lodz public or non-public universities. We look for students after second year of technical, mathematical, business, finance, economic or related studies.

In your role you will handle various tasks, including maintaining and enhancing risk applications like credit rating tools and operational risk databases. You'll collaborate closely with software developers, conduct analyses and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, you'll troubleshoot business and model-related issues, document requirements and guidelines, and work on process enhancements using agile methodologies.
What you will be doing? 👇
- Working closely with software developers and application users
- Conducting technical, business and data quality analyses
- Leading meetings with stakeholders
- Analyzing risk management and regulatory requirements and implementing adjustments into the tool and processes
- Solving problems (both business & model related, support technical fixes)
- Managing documentation of business requirements, application guidelines and design goal
- Working on processes improvements using agile methodologies
Do not worry, if you do not have experience in some of the points - we will provide training for you! 😉
Alternative tasks:
- Data preparation and analysis, statistical and empirical investigations, handling of large amounts of data, their aggregation and evaluation.
- Preparation of technical specifications, presentations and documentation on credit and operational risk
- Testing of credit and operational risk related tools
- Programming of prototypes for impact and scenario analysis in different programming languages (SAS, R, Python, SQL, ...).
Which technology & skills are important for us? 👇
- Interest in economics, finance & accounting, IT or related field
- Good acquaintance of MS Office tools – Excel and Word
- English B2 level – it is our business language
- Analytical thinking as well as motivated and structured working style
- Good self- organization and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Have basic knowledge of technical languages like SQL, VBA, Python
