Your responsibilities
- Managing large, multi-year project through its full cycle (from planning to completion) for an entire satellite system of systems, including successful launch and operations in orbit;
- Planning work and leading project teams across the company according to project scope;
- Coordinating efforts of experienced project team leaders, incl. in the fields of project management, engineering, operations, security, manufacturing, procurement, configuration, product development and AIT;
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with budget and schedule; collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address required changes to the project budget, scope and timeline (where appropriate);
- Co-creating requirements and project documentation (reports, procedures);
- Working in close collaboration with Project Technical Officer, including responsibility for key strategic decisions affecting project scope, timeline and budget;
- Maintaining effective working relationship with key stakeholders, including client and end-user representatives;
- Reporting project status, risks, opportunities, and KPIs to the Director of the Project Office;
- Verifying the quality of project documentation and ensuring compliance with the specified standards and contractual conditions;
- Collaborating with the QA team to ensure the quality of produced systems;
- Managing a large industrial consortium of subcontractors and suppliers within the project;
- Preparing and executing successful handover of the delivered system to the end-user;
- Coordinating formal project reviews, (including involvement of client representatives);
- Supporting the implementation of process improvements in project management.
Our Requirements:
- At least 4 years of project management experience in the technical industry;
- At least 4 years of professional experience in the space sector;
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with at least 30 team members;
- Experience managing project or project portfolio with budget exceeding 5MEUR;
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PMI and/or PRINCE2);
- Excellent organization of personal work and project team tasks;
- Communication and negotiation skills;
- Leadership, responsibility, and the ability to build and maintain good relationships at various levels;
- Fluent proficiency in English, enabling smooth communication, documentation preparation, and presentations.
Preferred
- Higher education in physical or space sciences, astronautics, aeronautical engineering, electronics, mechanics, or related fields;
- Experience working in the aerospace industry;
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary industrial consortia with more than 50 team members across the consortium;
- Experience managing multiple projects in the space industry;
- Experience managing projects as prime contractor or integrator;
- Experience with contracts from the European Space Agency;
- Knowledge of ECSS standards;
- Experience in hardware development projects;
- Experience in projects co-financed by European funds;
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (AGILE SCRUM) and tools;
- Advanced knowledge of task management programs (JIRA, Redmine, Asana).
