Senior NetApp Storage Engineer

We are looking for a Senior NetApp Storage Engineer to join an enterprise infrastructure team responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing large-scale NetApp ONTAP NAS environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working with high-availability storage platforms, solving complex infrastructure incidents, and improving operations through automation and best practices in architecture.

Your Role

As a Senior NetApp Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, stability, and evolution of the NAS storage landscape. You will work closely with infrastructure teams, application teams, and vendors to ensure the platform remains highly available and scalable.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and maintaining NetApp ONTAP 9 storage environments

• Managing replication and data protection technologies such as SnapMirror, SnapVault, SyncMirror, and MetroCluster

• Planning capacity allocation and NAS architecture to support enterprise workloads and SLAs

• Leading incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis for storage-related issues

• Supporting system upgrades, infrastructure changes, and data migrations

• Monitoring storage performance and utilization, and providing optimization recommendations

• Working with automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency

• Collaborating with vendors to resolve hardware-level issues and coordinate support activities

You will be working with technologies such as:

Storage & Infrastructure

Requirements

We are looking for engineers who combine deep technical expertise with strong operational ownership.

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage environments

• 3+ years working with NetApp ONTAP / NAS platforms

• Advanced knowledge of ONTAP architecture, configuration, and administration

• Experience with replication and HA technologies (SnapMirror, SnapVault, MetroCluster)

• Strong troubleshooting and incident management experience

• Knowledge of CIFS and NFS protocols

• Understanding of backup integrations and data protection strategies

• Ability to work in structured ITSM / change management environments

Certifications required:

• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)

• ITIL Foundation

Nice to Have

• Advanced NetApp certifications (NCIE or implementation-level certifications)

• Experience with automation or infrastructure scripting (Python / Ansible)

• Platform certifications such as VMware VCP or RHCSA

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise NAS platforms
