AP Team Leader

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Team Leader to manage and support our AP team in delivering timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles and a hands-on approach to operational excellence.
The role is a combination between leading a team of AP Accountants and operational tasks.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent certificates)
3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar roles, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership position
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferably) and advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong people management and coaching abilities
English - B2 level minimum
Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and develop the Accounts Payable team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement
Oversee daily AP operations, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
Monitor and report key AP metrics, identifying and implementing process improvements
Collaborate with other finance functions and business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve efficiency
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Participate in or lead finance-related projects, including system upgrades and process automation initiatives
