Mainframe Application Support Engineer (zOS / Payments Systems)
Introduction & Summary
We are seeking an AM Consultant with significant expertise in IBM Mainframe zOS and payment processing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on operational tasks and lifecycle management while ensuring high-quality IT service delivery. Proficiency in DB2 and related technologies, combined with a systematic approach to problem-solving, is essential for this role.
Main Responsibilities
Participate in a BizDevOps SAFe Agile team focused on applications' maintenance.
Deliver services aligned with SLA objectives and ensure high-quality IT service.
Manage incidents, problems, and service fulfillment as per Nordea standards.
Drive change initiatives with multiple stakeholders for sustainable solutions.
Contribute to backlog management and Agile ceremonies.
Enhance the robustness and quality of business-supporting applications.
Stay updated on developments and best practices in the field.
Key Requirements
Deep experience with IBM Mainframe zOS at an operational level.
Proficient in DB2 with capabilities in database searching.
Experience reading and interpreting files in hexadecimal format on mainframe.
Familiarity with Job Control Language (JCL) and TWS (OPC).
Strong understanding of payment systems including debit, credit, transactions, and statements.
Knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats (MT940, MT950, camt.052, camt.053).
Business-oriented approach to problem-solving with systematic work ethics.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with application maintenance tasks.
Experience managing applications on Red Hat Linux.
