How you will get the job done

• operational reporting and data reporting in accordance to German GAAP (HGB), IFRS and Solvency II
• coordinating and preparing annual and quarterly financial statements, forecasts and midterm plannings
• preparing deviation analyses and quality assurance. Preparing internal and external reporting, including to the Management Board, the Supervisory Board, BaFin / Deutsche Bundesbank
• being a point of contact for auditors for all questions relating to annual and quarterly financial statements
• participating in and managing projects and task forces​

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent English (min B2)
• successfully completed university studies in economics with a focus on external accounting, auditing, insurance or university studies in business mathematic
• good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, Solvency II or HGB) for insurance companies. Ideally several years of professional experience in a comparable position
• very good knowledge of standard Office software (in particular Excel) and experience in the use of databases. Proficient in SAP – ideally FI or SEM-BCS
• strong analytical thinking skills and ability to analyze complex accounting issues and to present them in an understandable verbal and graphic form
• a particular willingness to work and appreciative communication skills combined with a high degree of independence and responsibility​
