Lead Mecha­nical Design Engi­neer

FERCHAU Poland is on a lookout for an expe­ri­enced Lead Mecha­nical Design Engi­neer to join an exci­ting project with one of our part­ners. In this role, you will be respon­sible for deve­lo­ping inno­va­tive concepts and func­ti­o­na­li­ties for components used in engines and power gene­rator sets, while also leading and coor­di­na­ting the acti­vi­ties of an engi­nee­ring team.

Your responsibilities:

• Coor­di­nate a small team of design engi­neers to develop engine components and systems for new products, tech­no­logy inte­gra­tion, and product impro­ve­ments

• Pro­vide guidance on deve­lop­ment processes, design metho­do­lo­gies, and quality tools

• Oversee compli­ance with design stan­dards, inclu­ding review of drawings and BOMs

• Act as the main tech­nical liaison with head­quar­ters and stake­hol­ders

• Work closely with analysis, vali­da­tion, sour­cing, and manu­fac­tu­ring teams

• Par­ti­ci­pate in assembly tests and assist with supplier audits

Your profile:

• Higher educa­tion in Mechanical Engineering or a related disci­pline

• Minimum 5 years of expe­ri­ence in design engi­nee­ring, with strong tech­nical exper­tise in cast components, fabri­cated struc­tures, and machined parts

• Pro­fi­ciency in CATIA V5

• Solid expe­ri­ence in leading, coaching, and super­vi­sing teams and projects

• Excel­lent commu­ni­ca­tion skills to effec­tively lead design teams and convey infor­ma­tion clearly

• Strong ability in tech­nical drawing crea­tion, inclu­ding ISO tole­rance stan­dards

• Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily commu­ni­ca­tion and project docu­men­ta­tion

• Wil­ling­ness to travel for busi­ness purposes

Nice to have:

• Know­ledge of Creo

• Expe­ri­ence with reci­pro­ca­ting engines

• German language skills
