Service Engineer (Marine/ Offshore projects)

In partnership with one of our client we are currently seeking an experienced Service Engineer for marine and offshore projects to join our Client's team. The company specializes in marine engineering, including the servicing, maintenance, and construction of ship propulsion systems.

Please note that this position is heavily focused on traveling.

Your area of responsibility

• Identifying and resolving technical issues on ships, primarily related to engines
• Performing maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on electrical/ mechanical systems (primarily ship engines)
• Ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards
• Preparing comprehensive service reports and technical documentation
• Working closely with ship crews and offshore teams to optimize system performance
• Conducting routine diagnostics using advanced software and tools, including PLC controllers and SCADA systems (e.g. externally controlled engines)
• Implementing proactive maintenance strategies to extend equipment lifespan

Your profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex maritime environments
• Experience with servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of various ship engines
• Valid seaman's book for international assignments
• Essential offshore certifications like BOSIET/ HUET/ GWO
• Proven ability to work effectively in demanding offshore conditions
• Flexibility and willingness for international travel
• Proficiency in English for clear and precise technical communication
