Systems Engineer
FERCHAU Poland is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our space robotics engineering team. In this role, you will work across the entire development lifecycle of advanced robotic systems, from early concept definition through system architecture, integration, verification and validation, and operational deployment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge space technology.
Responsibilities
Overseeing system development from initial requirement capture to final implementation and system operation
Coordinating cross-disciplinary engineering activities involving mechanics, electronics, software, thermal engineering and other domains
Acting as a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, translating technical needs into structured requirements
Troubleshooting integration issues and supporting prototyping activities for robotic platforms
Conducting system-level studies such as FDIR analysis, FMEA/FMECA and reliability assessments
Planning and performing verification and validation activities, including test campaigns typical for space missions
Preparing system documentation and supporting configuration management processes
Working closely with project managers on planning, creating product structure, defining model philosophy and managing technical work packages
Assisting the Business Development team in preparing technical content for proposals

Requirements
University degree in an engineering discipline
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role
Experience in space or aviation projects
Excellent command of English
Proficiency with task management tools such as GitLab or Jira, and with MS Office
Strong communication skills, independence, solid work organisation, analytical thinking and creativity
Nice to have
Education or hands-on experience in aerospace, aviation or robotics
Programming knowledge (Python, Matlab/Simulink)
Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and version control systems (GIT)
Basic experience with laboratory equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes) and CAD tools
Understanding of space environment, robotic sensors, electric drives, embedded software, heat transfer and thermodynamics
Willingness to travel occasionally
