An established and rapidly growing engineering organisation within the renewable energy and power infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Tendering Electrical Engineer to join its expanding Tendering & Engineering Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on major power, renewable and substation project tenders across Ireland and Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineer who enjoys technical responsibility, multidisciplinary collaboration, and influencing the success of large-scale energy projects.

Wymagania

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Tendering Electrical Engineer within the Tendering Team

• Review technical employer requirements, specifications, drawings and calculations

• Take ownership of all electrical engineering elements within tender submissions

• Identify technical risks and support risk mitigation strategies

• Collaborate with tendering, operations, engineering, and commercial teams

• Coordinate engineering interfaces (electrical, civil, cable, OHL) during tender stages

• Liaise with equipment suppliers, consultants, and third parties

• Review supplier quotations for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness

• Drive value engineering opportunities where applicable

• Provide input into tender schedules and engineering budgets

• Attend tender meetings and post-tender clarifications

• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations

• Promote a strong safety culture

• Support business development and client engagement when required

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, delivering complete electrical tender outputs

• Support the operations/project teams during handover of successful tenders

• Stay informed about new technologies, design innovations, and construction techniques

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Background

• Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• 3+ years of experience in substations, HV/MV systems, or renewable energy projects

• Tendering experience is highly desirable

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of substation, utilities, and renewable energy sectors

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ePlan and MS Office

• Experience with design software/cable sizing tools is an advantage

• Familiarity with ESB/EirGrid specifications is beneficial

• Strong appreciation of the design-to-construction interface
