We are looking for a UI Designer / Senior UI Designer to join our team at Flying Bisons. In this role, you will design and maintain user interfaces that ensure consistency and scalability across digital products. The ideal candidate enjoys working with design systems and crafting detailed UI solutions that enhance user experiences.

You will play a key role in shaping the overall user interface of products, ensuring seamless design implementation across all screens and states. Familiarity with design systems is essential, and experience in creating or evolving them is a plus.

We expect our designers to actively embrace an AI-first approach — not just using tools like ChatGPT for convenience, but deeply understanding and integrating AI into their workflows, ideation, and output. This means staying up to date with the latest trends in AI-driven design, experimenting with new tools, and thinking critically about how AI is reshaping user behavior, interfaces, and expectations. Passive usage isn’t enough. We’re looking for curious minds who treat AI as a creative partner, not just a shortcut.

Due to the nature of our projects, we are looking for candidates who are open to regular short business trips (e.g., one week) or a temporary relocation (for a few months) to the Middle East. All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered by the company. We also provide full logistical and organizational support.

Job requirements

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Designing and refining scalable UI solutions for digital products

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business and user requirements, and translate them into intuitive and engaging designs

• Ensuring all designs align with design systems and industry best practices

• Creating consistent and adaptable UI components that support product scalability

• Managing multiple projects while maintaining design quality and efficiency

• Presenting design concepts and collaborating with clients and internal teams

• Working in an end-to-end digital process

• Collaboration with other designers, as well as with the interdisciplinary team (Researchers, Consultants, UX Designers, UX Writers, Data Analysts, Developers)

Additional responsibilities at the Senior level:

• Leading UI projects and contributing to design standards

• Supporting the development and enhancement of design systems

• Providing guidance and feedback to junior designers

• Optimizing internal design workflows and processes

  
  

Your Profile & Skills Required

• Strong understanding of layout, grids, typography, color theory, and UI patterns

• 2+ years of experience in UI design (mid-level); 5+ years for senior roles

• Proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools

• Experience working within or maintaining a design system

• A portfolio showcasing UI design expertise in commercial digital products

  • For Senior level, the portfolio should include at least 3 documented projects where you were the lead designer, managed a team, or had a significant impact on the final outcome

• Awareness of UX principles and their impact on UI design

• AI-First Mindset and Design Approach

• Strong communication and presentation skills (English: B2/C1+ level)

• A detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset

• Familiarity with design-development collaboration (basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus)

• Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate (Middle East)

Nice to Haves

• Experience in building or evolving design systems

• Knowledge of motion design, animation, or illustration

• Background in brand identity design
