Operations Manager

Fresh Inset is a Poland-based technology company that develops a wide range of solutions to extend the shelf life of fruits, vegetables and flowers after harvest.

The company's products are based on a revolutionary and patented technology that protects crops from the damaging effects of ethylene during storage, transport and retail to keep not only great looks, but also the full nutritional value of fruits and vegetables for as long as possible.


Smart packaging and stickers are a breakthrough in the spread of post-harvest protection options for fruits and vegetables. They can be used by large companies as well as small growers and suppliers.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing the total production process of Fresh Inset products in Poland, from the arrival of goods, processing of raw materials, printing, packaging, and delivery of intermediate or finished products. Ensuring an optimal balance between quality, effectiveness, efficiency and flexibility.
• Implementing and realizing the long-term production strategy and the associated objectives.
• Implementing the production policy (including health and safety and environmental matters) of all Fresh Inset manufacturing, including third-party toll manufacturing
• Setting and achieving set KPIs. Both related to manufacturing and customer satisfaction.
• Drawing up, monitoring, and implementing investment budget for operations in Torun and at any potential third-party location, after approval of the management
• Managing the production team leader, logistics and customer service team leader, and several staff members. Ensuring optimal staffing
• Daily monitoring and consultation on production progress
• Maintaining communication within the department and between departments
• Project leader and participant in various improvement and innovation projects

Requirements:

•  At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in scaling up a startup
• Technical education at the university level, e.g. process technology, chemical technology
• Leadership skills, the character of the position requires a hands-on management style and good communication skills at different levels
• Strategic view and analytical skills
• Initative and proactive approach
• Native Polish
• Fluent English (B2/C1)
