Electrical Designer

For one of our clients (international leader in heat exchangers and cooling systems) we are looking for a candidate for the position of Electrical Designer.

Location: Gliwice (hybrid work model)

Major duties:

• Proposal and electrical/mechanical design of heat exchanger/cooling systems parts and assemblies, selection of electrical components for orders (Contract based design) 

• Creation of models, drawings of parts and assemblies including wiring diagrams, bill of materials (BOMs) in 3D (Inventor) and 2D Electrical AutoCAD using PDM/PLM 

• Execution of technical calculations 

• Data input of parts and assemblies in information systems 

• Communication and coordination with other departments 

• Communication with suppliers in technical matters 

• Cooperation on improvement/development of internal processes and standardization 

• Other activities in frame of position according to superior´s instructions 

Major responsibilities:

• Responsibility for creation and correctness of tech. documentation 

• Responsibility for data input and correctness in information systems 

• Following internal directives, processes and standards

Basic and preferred qualifications:

• High school/university degree in electrical field 

• Qualification in electrical field min. E1 

• Knowledge of tech. documentation creation for both the parts and assemblies (models, drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs) 

• Knowledge of the regulations CEI EN 60204-1 Electrical equipment of machines, CEI EN 61439-1 and 2 for LV switchboards and UL 508A and NFPA79 is advantage 

• Understanding of tech. drawings, electrical specifications, manufacturing procedures (sheet metal parts & tubes, bending, forming, welding/brazing) 

• Experiences with 2D/3D designing (Inventor is advantage) 

• Active and creative approach, willing to learn and develop 

• Focus on deadlines, reliability, thoroughness, flexibility 

• Ability to work independently but also as member of team 

• Good communication skills, analytical thinking  

• Occasional domestic and foreign business trips – active driver 

• English spoken and written – intermediate+ 

• Knowledge of Windows, MS Excel/Word/Powerpoint/Outlook 

• Knowledge of SAP - advantage
