The Control Tower Lead is responsible for overseeing the team of HR&E TPRM Specialists, ensuring effective management of third-party risks related to Human Rights and Environmental (HR&E) standards. This role involves leading the team, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain the integrity and compliance of vendor operations. The Control Tower Lead acts as the primary point of contact for escalated issues and ensures continuous improvement in risk management processes. The Control Tower Lead is furthermore responsible for the setup and execution of operational reporting and providing senior management with regular updates on TPRM.
Your responsibilities would include:
professional leadership of the HR&E TPRM team
leading, mentoring, and developing the team of HR&E TPRM Specialists
aligning the team’s operational activities, seting performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing feedback
fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
overseeing the evaluation of risk screening findings and the development of mitigation plans
ensuring comprehensive and effective mitigation strategies are in place
monitoring compliance and effectiveness of mitigation measures
acting as the primary liaison between the HR&E TPRM team and other departments, including global procurement, global risk functions, and senior management
acting as a business partner for Regional and OpCo MT’s regarding operational TPRM related topics
facilitating regular communication and meetings to keep stakeholders informed and engaged
identifying and escalating compliance issues or risks that cannot be mitigated at the operational level
collaborating with senior management and relevant stakeholders across the organisation (OpCo, Region, Global) to address escalated issues promptly
identifying opportunities for improving risk assessment and monitoring processes
staying updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes
incorporating feedback and implement process enhancements
providing training and support to the HR&E TPRM team and other relevant staff on risk mitigation processes and best practices
developing training materials and resources to enhance understanding and compliance with risk mitigation requirements.
You are a good candidate if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Social Science or Anthropology, Environmental Science, or a related field
minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, vendor management, or a related field
experience in HR&E risk management is highly desirable
proven experience in a leadership or managerial role
strong leadership and people management skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools
knowledge of HR&E standards and regulations
strong organizational and time management skills
ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
excellent written and verbal English.

knowledge of Value Chain Due Dilligence or Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) requirements
supply chain or procurement experience is desired
project management certification
additional language skills. (Spanish, Portogese or French).
