Insurance Financial Specialist

The purpose of this job is to manage the transactional finance processes from an end to end perspective of Roeminck Insurance N.V. (inhouse insurance company), advising the Global Insurance Department and other stakeholders regarding the possibilities and optimisation of the transactional finance processes.

Your daily tasks include:

• acting as a subject matter expert for Global Insurance, Roeminck, and external stakeholders on all transactional finance processes

• performing independent analytical reviews and assessments of transactional financial data, insurance‑related data, and cash flow forecast data, identifying actions and conclusions

• working closely with Global Treasury on cash management activities, including forecasts and intercompany loans

• being responsible for monitoring and execution by HGSS of the insurance payment process and other insurance‑related activities

• reviewing and being responsible for insurance and reinsurance premium collection and payment processes

• owning the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial closing processes, including preparation of reports

• analyzing data exchange between PARIS and SAP

• managing reporting processes, including both statutory and group reporting in CIL

• preparing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations

• being responsible for monthly and quarterly preparations for all tax processes (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and Insurance Premium Tax) and working in close cooperation with Global Tax

• performing in‑depth analysis of financials for operational and financial audits

• being responsible for in‑depth specifications and reconciliations as requested by external auditors.

You are a good match if you have:

• Master’s degree => 2-5 years' experience, above average learning agility

• Bachelor’s degree => 5 years' experience, ideally in Insurance environment

• understanding of Microsoft Office and SAP

• finance background (insurance finance background is an advantage).

You are a perfect match if you also have:

• understanding of SNOW (Service Now), PARIS (insurance system)

• experienced in working with external auditors.
