Product Development Specialist

Role Purpose:

As a Product Development Specialist, you will be part of a global production team in the packaging industry, focused on turning customer ideas and needs into high-quality solutions. Working closely with a diverse team, your main goal will be to meet stakeholder requirements and ensure customer satisfaction. You will report to the Technical Account Team Manager.

In this role, you will coordinate projects aimed at developing new, customer-focused products, as well as support various internal initiatives. Key tasks include collaborating with customers, production teams, and suppliers to gather all necessary information for the smooth introduction of new product lines. This role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Managing product development projects in line with project management standards and established processes, using tools to ensure successful product releases.
• Overseeing technical and commercial aspects of new product development projects, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience.
• Gathering and verifying all technical requirements necessary for the timely and complete introduction of new customer portfolios.
• Focusing on the technical and design elements of each product and assessing their impact on the full product portfolio.
• Collaborating closely with production technologists, customer service, planning, marketing, sales, and other departments across production locations to ensure the smooth introduction of new products.
• Introducing innovative business solutions and participating in internal projects within the organization.
• Reviewing, improving, and automating existing processes, and developing new, optimized solutions to address business needs through automation and the latest technical innovations.

Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a product development role, or as a project coordinator or PMO.
• Familiarity with the production environment.
• Experience in collaborating with suppliers, technical development specialists from customer organizations, and marketing departments.

Education and Certifications:

• Completed technical or engineering degree in a related field.
• Additional training in project management.
• Language skills: Fluent in English and communicative level of the local language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Competencies and Knowledge Beneficial to the Role:

• Technical knowledge and competence in printing, converting technologies, and key materials.
• Familiarity with the packaging and printing sectors is advantageous.
• Understanding of prepress processes (artwork adaptations).
