Role Overview:
Huntsman’s Accounting & Reporting team is searching for a Manager Accounting & Reporting – Western Europe in our regional GBS hub in Krakow. The Accounting & Reporting team is central to the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of our financial records and is a key partner to our other GBS functions and Business Divisions. We currently have teams in Kuala Lumpur, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, and the US. This is an exciting opportunity to not only learn from our other regional teams, but also contribute into Huntsman’s established Continuous Improvement and Automation network to help drive change, improve efficiency, deliver process improvements, and eliminate manual tasks through automation. Role Responsibilities:
As a Manager Accounting & Reporting – Western Europe, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring an adequate system of internal controls is implemented / maintained for key accounting processes, in compliance with requirements under Sarbanes Oxley.
Maintaining external audit relationship and secure satisfactory internal and external audit opinions for the statutory accounts of all legal entities in Germany and the rest of the subregion.
Managing direct report(s).
Month end activities like revaluation & analyzing the exchange differences.
Preparation and execution of the monthly reporting activities.
Acting as focal point for the local management in Germany and the rest of the subregion
Acting as focal point for the local authorities in in Germany and the rest of the subregion
Filing proposals for improvement & efficiencies of systems and procedures.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.
What we are looking for:
ACCA qualified or studying accountant, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Advanced analytical skills.
Experience with dealing with external auditors.
Fluent in English. German business proficiency is a strong asset.
Experience with statutory accounting and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, with a customer focused mindset.
Experience with SAP, Excel and/or Power BI.
