We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join our team within the investment banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience working in the investment banking or financial services industry. As a Scrum Master, you will guide and mentor two Scrum teams, ensuring they follow Scrum principles and processes, remove obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Scrum Master for two Scrum teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Foster a collaborative and productive environment for the teams, ensuring that all Scrum events are conducted effectively, with the right cadence, purpose, and participants.
- Work closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team has a clear understanding of the work to be done and the business value it brings.
- Help the teams identify and remove impediments, ensuring that roadblocks are quickly addressed so that the teams can remain productive.
- Ensure that the teams maintain focus on Agile principles and Scrum practices, coaching them to continuously improve their processes and efficiency.
- Track and report on the team’s progress and performance using appropriate Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and other key performance indicators.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, including developers, business stakeholders, and other teams within the organization.
- Support stakeholder management, ensuring transparency and alignment between teams and business leaders.
- Help resolve conflicts and encourage team collaboration to foster a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Encourage continuous improvement by guiding teams through regular retrospectives and fostering an open environment for feedback.
- Utilize Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint to manage workflows, track progress, and communicate with the team and stakeholders.
- Leverage Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) for reporting and presentations to senior management and business stakeholders.
- Assist in the onboarding and mentoring of new Scrum team members, ensuring they are integrated into the Scrum framework and team dynamics.
- Provide leadership and foster accountability within the teams, ensuring that Scrum processes are adhered to and team goals are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in the investment banking or financial services industry.
- In-depth understanding of Scrum events, roles, and best practices.
- Proven ability to perform the Scrum Master role across multiple Scrum teams and foster a collaborative and self-organizing team culture.
- Strong experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies, resolving conflicts, and enabling teams to focus on delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical and business issues and solutions to various organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, foster teamwork, and influence without direct authority.
- Proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- A deep understanding of the investment banking environment, including business processes, systems, and delivery practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other scaled Agile methodologies.
- Experience in Agile coaching and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of additional Agile frameworks like Kanban or XP.
- Familiarity with financial products, trading systems, or banking processes.
