Project Manager – eCommerce & IT

We are international eCommerce company with few office location across Europe – on the market for over 12y. Not a startup but definitely not a massive corporation

We are looking for an experienced and independent Project Manager with a strong background in eCommerce, preferably someone who has led technical teams (e.g. Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or Software Development) in fast-paced digital environments. This is not your typical PM role — we value originality, courage to challenge the status quo, and a strong personal voice.

You’ll be working at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, delivering impactful projects that span across digital products and customer data. Your role will require quick problem-solving, decision-making under time pressure, and an ability to collaborate across departments.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the execution of strategic projects in the eCommerce space (e.g. personalization engines, marketing automation, data-driven features).
• Collaborate with stakeholders from marketing, data, tech, and product teams.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Own the roadmap, backlog, sprint planning, and timely delivery of features.
• Quickly resolve roadblocks, prioritize tasks, and keep timelines on track.
• Use your creativity and strategic thinking to propose solutions that are unconventional yet effective.
• Maintain strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support data-related projects and help interpret SQL-based insights (prior SQL knowledge is a plus).

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably in eCommerce or tech-focused companies.
• Experience working with technical teams (e.g., data engineers, ML engineers, mobile/web developers).
• Comfort with ambiguity and making autonomous decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to stand your ground in discussions.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
• SQL skills its plus
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Trello or similar.
• German language skills (B1 or higher preferred) – Massive plus
• Background or past experience in marketing is a big plus.
• Curiosity, resilience, and the courage to challenge conventional approaches.
