Are you an experienced Piping Designer looking for an opportunity to work on large-scale industrial projects? Our client, a global leader in industrial gas solutions, is seeking a skilled professional to join their engineering team. This is a unique chance to contribute to cutting-edge projects in industries such as refining, petrochemicals, energy, and gas processing.
Key responsibilities
- Design, layout, and schematize piping systems for industrial applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) for pipeline design and drafting.
- Conduct fluid mechanics analysis to optimize pipeline performance.
- Select appropriate materials and technologies for each project.
- Develop flexible designs to accommodate modifications during project execution.
- Analyze and validate engineering data to ensure optimal pipeline performance.
- Present designs to stakeholders, justifying technical decisions and innovations.
- 3D modeling using Smart Plant 3D software.
- Prepare pipeline studies and detailed drawings (projections, sections, equipment layouts).
- Generate isometrics using Smart Plant tools.
- Create Material Take-Off (MTO) and Bill of Quantities.
- Coordinate loads transfer with Civil and Structural disciplines.
- Review and provide feedback on supplier documentation.
- Participate in model reviews with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with mechanical, construction, and process teams to ensure seamless integration.
Ideal candidate profile
- 7+ years of experience as a Piping Designer.
- Expertise in industry standards and pipeline design regulations.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart Plant 3D).
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and pipeline hydraulics.
- Material selection knowledge tailored to specific industrial projects.
- Analytical mindset for interpreting data and optimizing designs.
- Presentation and communication skills to justify engineering decisions.
- Creative problem-solving approach for innovative piping solutions.
- Attention to detail ensuring precision and compliance with standards.
- Team coordination skills for effective cross-discipline collaboration.
- Adaptability to evolving project requirements.
