Accountant

Our client, a leading organization in the finance and technology sector, is offering an exciting opportunity for experienced finance professionals. 

Tasks:

• Manage statutory and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to local regulations and timely filings

• Coordinate with outsourced statutory and tax service providers for compliance, execution, and audits

• Review and ensure accuracy of General Ledger entries, including reconciliations and GAAP differences

• Prepare or review local financial statements in line with IFRS or similar standards

• Collaborate with tax teams on annual tax packages and segmented P&L exercises

• Work closely with process leads to ensure accurate end-to-end accounting during month-end closing

• Partner with the P&L Manager to verify correctness of bookings and balance sheet accuracy

• Conduct periodic balance sheet reviews at the entity level and with business units

Required skills and qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in accounting operations, with a focus on international environments

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP (advantageous)

• Proven expertise in GL accounting, auditing, and financial statement preparation

• Ability to interpret local requirements and apply valid treatments for local and GAAP purposes

• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is a plus

• Technical proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Hyperion and Oracle is advantageous

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and regions

• Degree in Finance or Accounting

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and work effectively in a multicultural environment
