Civil Engineer

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Sofia, specializing in Investment Control and Project Management for the reconstruction and upgrade of our existing food manufacturing premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead diverse construction projects from conception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Investment Control: Manage and control the budget, expenditure, and financial reporting for all assigned construction and reconstruction projects. Ensure projects are executed within approved financial parameters.

• Project Leadership: Oversee and manage multiple construction and reconstruction projects within the existing manufacturing facilities

• Tender & Contractor Management: Prepare technical specifications for tenders, evaluate bids, and manage contracts with external designers, consultants, and construction contractors.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise effectively with internal departments (e.g., Production, Safety, Procurement, Management) and external authorities to secure necessary permits and ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.

• Reporting: Provide regular, detailed reports on project progress, financial status, and potential risks to senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: University degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in construction project management, specifically involving reconstruction and investment control, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in the food industry is a significant advantage.

• Fluency in Bulgarian (written and spoken) is mandatory.

• Excellent professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

• Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage complex tasks under pressure.
