Senior Business Development Specialist

what you'll do

• you will be part of our Outbound team that’s focused on: building and improving a predictable funnel of new business opportunities (lead generation), creating awareness of Merixstudio among companies belonging to our ICP, partners and industry communities,
• proactively look for sales and partnership opportunities around the globe,
• work with product-led companies, startups and scaleups, SMBs; we enter into partnerships with other software houses, consulting agencies, independent tech experts, venture capitalists, or startup hubs,
• take care of a multichannel (LI/mail/call) outreach, using modern tool stack. Importantly, you can expect a both influence and a certain degree of freedom in terms of ideas, campaigns, communication style and the final execution,
• help us build and manage relationships with key prospects & partners,
• go and attend high-profile events and conferences - help us identify strategic opportunities and amplify our brand from a business perspective,
• be involved in internal initiatives (including marketing and content-related, i.e. promotional or educational videos) and projects aiming at improving our operations and efficiency.

who you are

• you’ve mastered prospecting via Linkedin and mailing,
• you have a track record of successful new business activities (generating leads through outreach / networking, ideally also events),
• English language is your friend,
• you enjoy writing good copy, experimenting, and brainstorming outreach ideas proactiveness and creativity are in your nature,
• “No, thanks” isn’t the end of the world for you,
• you are well-organized and like to get things done,
• building and maintainning relationships with other people is part of your DNA - you build bridges, not walls,
• you know how to do research to find a way to reach people,
• you want to work with or communities you find valuable,
• you follow up with the newest trends regarding startup area, new technologies, and new media,
• you consider CRM (and other sales/communication tools) as a helping hand, rather than a red tape.

what we'd like to see

• experience in B2B business development inc. networking & prospecting (3+ years),
• experience in B2B (ideally software development services),
• sales experience in networking at events,
• you’ve built relationships in the startup/IT community.
