You will work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure efficient VAT management and compliance with local regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead and manage VAT compliance across the EMEA region, ensuring timely and accurate submissions of VAT returns and related filings.
- Provide VAT advisory support to the business on transactions, new ventures, and restructurings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve VAT processes and implement tax-efficient strategies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with changes in VAT laws and regulations across various jurisdictions within the region.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, managing VAT audits and disputes as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on VAT-related matters.
- Support the preparation of VAT risk assessments and develop mitigating strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of VAT automation and digitalization projects.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in VAT management, with a focus on the EMEA region.
- In-depth knowledge of VAT laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in key EMEA jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of cross-border VAT issues, including intra-community supplies, imports/exports, and e-commerce.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in dealing with VAT audits and disputes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
