Senior Accountant/Accountant/ Junior (includes GL, AP, AR)

Job Description

AP

• Posting of purchase invoices
• Verification of accounting documents
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Preparing statements for the purpose of reviewing and auditing financial statements
• Contact with external entities (suppliers, German authorities)
• Cooperation with the purchasing department
• Participation in the month end process

AR:

• Control of settlements with clients, posting and settling transactions in the accounting system
• Monitoring of receivables (balance reconciliation, proactive actions)
• Posting and settling incoming payments in the accounting system
• Issuing and posting custom sales invoices
• Control and accounting of debit notes
• Issuing and posting sales invoices
• Preparation of reports on receivables (e.g. overdue receivables)
• Participation in the month end process

GL:

• Keeping books in accordance with the requirements of the German HGB and IFRS
• Ensuring compliance of data from the general ledger (GL) with sub-ledgers and consistency of the accounting journal
• Analysis of G/L accounts and reconciliation accounts
• Participation in the closing of accounting periods
• Accounting, accounting and depreciation of fixed assets
• Ongoing reporting

The Successful Applicant

• Around 3 years of ovarall accounting experience within at least two of mentiond departments or GL; for Junior: at least a year-two of experience;
• Knowledge of SAP;
• Previous experience of working for German entities (preferable);
• English (B2/C1) and German (B2, for juniors: A2 minimum) speaking skills;
• Ability to appear in the office in Katowice 2-3 times a week;
