As a community manager, your short term task is to set up processes of community management for our open source projects. All methods and technology choices are available at your disposal.
 
Your long term tasks are to engage and manage our community, as well as transform people interested in Saleor, e-commerce in general, and our website users into community members.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Build a community of developers behind the fastest-growing open source e-commerce platform 
  • Stay in touch with our community members on a daily basis on channels like Spectrum, Gitter, Twitter, forums and blogs
  • Actively participate in the discussions about e-commerce and Saleor on Quora, Reddit, and similar platforms
  • Be a representative voice of developers in internal discussions to make sure they are represented and play an active role in our decision-making processes
  • Engage with developers at a 1:1 level, encouraging discussion and engagement to contribute towards the growth of the community.
  • Create a strong knowledge base by producing FAQs 
  • Onboard customers through tutorials (interactive, video, or mailing)
  • Cooperate with marketing and design teams to create assets and content for social media and blog
  • Participate in organizing events and workshops to make people feel at home 
  • Present reports of community feedback, suggestions, and issue reports summarizing and highlighting key recommendations.

Your profile:

  • Perfect command of the oral and written English language
  • Proven experience in social media and community management 
  • Positive attitude, creativity, social personality and a true team-player
  • Technical background and understanding of web apps development process
  • Ability to develop deep technical and product knowledge
  • Self-motivated, organized, proactive, with the ability to multitask


Nice to have:

  • Experience with event planning
  • Experience in working with e-commerce
  • Customer service experience
