BIM Specialist – Revit Expert
NewCold is seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist with deep expertise in Autodesk Revit, particularly within the Family Editor. If you possess a strong foundation in engineering and/or architectural principles, understand the intricacies of project lifecycles, and are passionate about creating parametric content within Revit, we encourage you to apply.
As a key member of our collaborative BIM and Design & Engineering teams, you will be instrumental in the development and management of Revit projects and the creation of intelligent Revit Families. Your proven experience in this area, coupled with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, will make you an ideal candidate.
What You'll Do:
- Update existing and develop new BIM workflow standards.
- Support design processes by creating multidisciplinary industrial BIM projects and ensuring coordination across all RIBA Stages.
- Implement international ISO 19650 standards.
- Create and coordinate BIM models across all BIM dimensions (3D, 4D, 5D, 6D) and prepare models for use by Asset and Facility teams.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across global locations (Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand, India), ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Work closely with fellow BIM Experts and Engineers on diverse projects.
- Utilize the Revit Family Editor daily to design and develop high-quality parametric Revit Families tailored to NewCold's project needs.
- Contribute to the strategic development of BIM models, aligning with project requirements at each stage of delivery.
What You Need:
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced mastery of Autodesk Revit.
- Hands-on experience with the Autodesk Construction Cloud platform (Docs, Build, Collaborate Pro).
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and issue assigning.
- 3-4 years of demonstrable experience modeling complex Revit Objects using the Revit Family Editor.
- Strong understanding of Revit Formulas and Conditional Logic.
- Proven ability to interpret and create technical drawings (plans, sections, details) for different project stages.
- Excellent time-management skills and a track record of meeting project deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience utilizing Solibri for model quality assurance and clash detection.
- Practical experience with the IFC open file format and its implementation.
