Firmware Engineer (f/m)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop firmware for wired and wireless security devices with a focus on low‑power performance, reliability, and real‑time behavior
• Implement communication features across RS485, wireless links, and other hardware interfaces
• Work with both bare‑metal and RTOS (FreeRTOS) environments, optimizing system performance and resource usage
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to hardware–software integration decisions
• Ensure the quality of the solution by working closely with the QA team and performing debugging and bug‑fixing activities
• Support verification, validation, certification, and production processes with technical expertise
• Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams during development and troubleshooting
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and internal development guidelines
• Work with global engineering teams across time zones to ensure consistent implementation and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Degree in Software/Electronic Engineering or related field
• Experience in embedded C firmware development (bare-metal, FreeRTOS)
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex-M (e.g., STM32)
• Experience with RS485 and wireless communication protocols
• Low-power embedded systems development
• Basic security knowledge (secure boot, firmware updates, cryptography)
• Debugging with SWD/JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
• Proficient in Git and modern workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and independence
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and international team collaboration
• Fluent in English
